At What Age Should I Stop Reading Aloud To My Child?

There is no harm (and lots of good!) by continuing to read aloud even through high school.

Children can hear and understand stories that are more complicated and more interesting than what they can read on their own. One word of caution: do not read beyond your child’s emotional level.

Occasionally incorporate literature study with a book you are reading aloud. Remember to keep it fun and engaging.
